We supply a number of treatments for Multiple sclerosis (MS) patients on prescription. These include:
(1) High Dose Biotin – In the 2016 MS-SPI study, high dose biotin treatment was shown to be effective and well tolerated in patients with progressive MS. Notably it reversed MS-related disease disability in 13% of patients with progressive MS. Although it is available over the counter we advise that you discuss this treatment with your Neurologist before starting because it can interfere with certain lab testing results.
(2) 4- Aminopyridine – A commercially available tablet is available under the trade name of Fampyra. Each tablet of FAMPYRA contains 10 mg of 4-amino pyridine in addition to hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate and the film coat (Opadry White Y-1-7000 E171) contains hypromellose, titanium dioxide and macrogol 400.
For those patients who may have an allergy or intollerance to any of these ingredients or who prefer to take capsules instead of a tablet our laboratory compounds it in a modified release capsule which has proven to be very effective.
(3) Low Dose Naltrexone – is available on script.
